The Carolina State Department of Communications is thrived towards Professionalism, Hard work and Determination. The CSDOC maintains a great use of Teamwork and go to exceptional lengths to help our fellow LEO's in RTO when we are on as Dispatch. C.S.D.O.C Is an active dispatch and communications department! This means that we train to become official dispatchers for R.T.O (Radio Traffic Only) Channels or any other communications skills that are required! We are the only official dispatchers for Carolina State RP! We are not a Law Enforcement Department, we do not enforce any laws, we enforce strict R.T.O rules and bring the realism of true dispatch! We Offer a chance to learn more when it comes to the Proper usage of RTO and Communications between Law Enforcement and more. We make sure the RTO's are running smoothly and making sure calls are getting enough officers responding to it. The Department of Communications offers you a chance to become a CSRP Dispatcher, and uphold true Integrity, Professionalism and Respect! Dispatchers are the first-line public safety communications professionals who dispatch first responders to every class of emergency for which public safety services are provided!! Dispatchers receive, process, transmit and/or dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for public safety and other agencies via the Radio Traffic Only channels!
Dispatcher duties can include:
Facilitating communications among police, fire, and EMS personnel during emergencies.
Monitors, answers and prioritizes all received emergency and non-emergency calls.
Performs motor vehicle registration, boat registration, firearm registration and license checks, as well as other related tasks, for law enforcement personnel via our CAD system.
Coordinates with the Department of Transportation during storms, snow removal, road closings, and other related situations.
Acts as an informational resource person to all public safety agencies for the transferring of general broadcasts regarding missing persons, stolen property, and miscellaneous criminal activity
Performs any and all other related duties as required by the dispatch supervisor, communications command member or any of the heads team
